HB 3187/ SB 1557, Shaheen, Meyer, Patterson, and Canales – Targets Dallas’ public transit system.
Slashes funding for Dallas transit, drastically reducing mobility for working families and weakening a vital public service in one of the state’s largest economic regions.
HB 3879/ SB 2519, Troxclair – Targets Austin’s voter-approved light rail line plans.
HB 4348/ SB 1993, Capriglione – Prohibits projects that convert car lanes to safer, multimodal use. Punitively allows the Texas Transportation Commission (TTC) to withhold affordable housing money for violations. This bill takes away local control and gives the TTC power over funds that have nothing to do with transportation, deepening our housing crisis.
