19th May, 1930.
Dear Sir,
I wish to express my regret that you and Mrs. Blumenfeld were prevented from being present at our At Home when Mr. and Mrs. Ochs also hoped to see you.[1] Since then you will have received an invitation from the Royal Society of British Artists for the Soiree on the 22nd.[2] I much look forward to the pleasure of greeting you and Mrs. Blumenfeld as our guests.
Before our mutual friend, Mr. Ochs, left for Carlsbad, he expressed a desire to invite a few friends to see his and Mrs. Ochs’s portraits [6480][6486] which I painted. He asked me expressly to invite you, and I should be very glad to see you and Mrs. Blumenfeld on the afternoon of either Tuesday, June 3rd, or Wednesday, June 4th between 5 and 6, in the
Studio.[3]
Looking forward to make your acquaintance,
Yours sincerely,
Ralph Blumenfeld, Esq.,
