John H. Wilson III makes Tribute to George Wilson born in 1807 in Moon Township was married to Susan Mafbelt and lived in Hazelwood in 1850, they had 7 children.  George had the Wilson Gorham soap business.  John I and Robert lived to later life to become prominent Pittsburghers in the business community.  The children of John & Robert were John II, Henry D. and Frederick who were all involved in Pittsburgh’s growth.

There are 3 more generations from these notable Pittsburgher’s that are carrying on the traditions, some of whom still reside in the Pittsburgh area.  John H. Wilson III and children: Jayne, Robert, Susan and David.  In 1996 there are 3 children of Robert J. Wilson: Katherine, Joseph and Rebecca.  For almost 200 years of Pittsburgh history my family is proud of Pittsburgh.
