ABQ Hosting Action Center Job Description        

TITLE:         Acton Center Supervisor

DESCRIPTION:   Supervise the Action Center when assigned.  Maintain ongoing operations.

OBJECTIVE:  To maintain daily operations of the center. To make it easy for volunteers to link their passion with a meaningful volunteer opportunity. To help hosted program participants obtain employment.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Working knowledge of leadership and management techniques, computer spreadsheets, word processing and databases.

SKILLS:        Leadership and management. Attention to detail.  Good skills on computer keyboards and software, primarily spreadsheets, word processing and databases.

EDUCATION:  High School Diploma, High School Equivalency Certificate or GED.                

TIME COMMITMENT:        As needed by the daily situation.                

SUPERVISED BY:        Action Center Director or Resource Coordinator (Depending on personnel availability).

WORKING WITH:        General public, CLABQ staff, potential volunteers and hosted participants at the Action Center plus charitable and other organizations.        

WORK LOCATION:        SE Action Center @ 2210 Silver SE, Albuquerque.                

AGE REQUIREMENTS:        At least 18 years old.                

BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIRED:        No.

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:        The Supervisor cannot be in a hosted program. Some travel to presentation locations may be necessary.  Signing of a Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest form is required. A sex offender registry check will be conducted.  If a person is on the registry they will not be allowed to work in the Action Center because children and vulnerable individuals are present at times.

Specific Duties: Includes, but not limited to;

  1. Supervisors will be in charge of the Action Center when the Center Director or Resource Coordinator are away from the center.
  2. Maintain ongoing operations and assign duties to personnel as needed.
  3. Oversight on the time clock system and update as necessary.
  4. Oversight on the phone systems
  5. When opening the center at 8:30 am prepare the office for 9am opening.
  6. When closing the center turn off HVAC, set alarm, ensure coffee pots and other items are off and lock doors
  7. Other duties as assigned.
