Sunday January Jan 22nd, 2023 4pm | 4 - Week Basic Aikido class series Starting Jan 22nd, we are offering a FREE series of 4 Sunday classes, covering the basics of Aikido - the underlying philosophy of peace, some of the basic techniques and how these physical techniques reflect the peaceful intent of the art. |
Sunday, January 29th | Alan Holiday Sensei, 5th dan Alan Sensei will teach the general class, which will include Julia Kay’s nidan exam. Alan Sensei is a very long time practitioner whose teaching is marked by joy and humor, and deep seriousness at the same time. He has been a friend of our dojo and taught many times in the past. FEE: $25 |
Saturday, Feb 11th, Aikido of Santa Cruz 10:30am-1:30pm | Alain Knechtli’s sandan exam Alain will do his 3rd degree black belt (sandan) demonstration at Aikido of Santa Cruz. Time to be announced shortly. |
Sunday, February 26th 4-6pm | Jerilyn Munyon Sensei Jerilyn Sensei is chief instructor of Magokoro Dojo and a highly experienced practitioner and teacher of many years. She models an impressive balance of triangle, circle and square in her practice, teaching and personal communication. That is, the ability to enter, to flow and to ground. FEE: $25 |
