POSITION: Industrial Electrical & Automation Project Sales

REPORTS TO: General Manager

SUPERVISES: N/A

The following is a list of major duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties. It is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed and in addition, management, as appropriate, may modify this job description.

I. QUALIFICATIONS

1. Proven sales record with minimum 1 year experience in a similar industry.

2. Working knowledge of industrial electrical and controls.

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

4. Clean DMV record.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. SAFETY

1. Adhere to all safety requirements of the task and conditions.

B. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

1. Stay informed about potential opportunities throughout the sales territory.

2. Qualify potential opportunities for:

a) Project status (Approved, Budget, Budget Estimate)

b) Competitive advantages.

c) Competitive threats.

d) Customer financial capabilities.

3. Develop contacts with potential/targeted accounts and industries through cold calling, canvassing & networking events.

4. Develop and follow a cookbook of weekly prospecting behaviors. (Cold calls, cold canvasses, LinkedIn contacts, networking events).

5. Perform weekly / monthly follow-ups with established contacts.

6. Gather field information necessary for “Project Estimator” to develop a comprehensive proposal for customer.

C. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

1. Stay informed about potential opportunities with each account.

2. Visits to each active job site account to review project status and maintain relationship with contact.

3. Evaluate project status with project managers to insure compliance with scope.

IV.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Must be able to move in and around customer sites and office.

2. Must be able to travel by car, plane and other transportation to visit customers’ sites to analyze needs. Some sites can have rough terrain, loud noise and extreme heat.

3. Must have good vision and be able to read small print, see colors, able to read and understand contracts; ability to write proposals and plans, use a computer to communicate via email, to conduct research, and to prepare reports, documents and letters.

4. Must be able to observe people and work in progress, and watch for moving equipment.

5. Must be able to hear and communicate via telephone, and in person.

6. Must be able to communicate verbally to understand customer needs, provide direction, explain solutions, and present information.

7. Must be able to work outside in the summer’s heat and winter’s cold.

8. Physical requirements also include walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, stretching, reaching and climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds when observing, diagnosing, designing and evaluating solutions.

POSITION: Engineer

REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager

SUPERVISES: N/A

I. QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s Degree in electrical, mechanical or related engineering required.

2. Knowledge of the practical application of engineering in electrical power design, controls design, PLC programming and HMI programming. Minimum 1 year work experience in related field preferred.

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

4. Clean DMV record required.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. SAFETY

1. Adhere to all safety requirements of the task and conditions.

B. TECHNICAL SKILLS

1. Design and troubleshoot electrical circuits (power and control) & controls panels in AutoCad and Solidworks Electrical.

2. Design, program and troubleshoot PLC’s & HMI’s from Allen Bradley, Wonderware, GE, Automation Direct, Siemens, Inductive Automation and others.

3. Design, program and troubleshoot industrial networks including Ethernet, Controlnet, Devicenet and others.

C. PROJECT MANAGEMENT

1. Adhere to a budget given by supervisor for the task at hand.

2. Complete all paperwork in accordance with ICAD’s policies and procedures.

D. QUALITY CONTROL

1. Adhere to quality control procedures as prescribed by supervisor.

E. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

1. Communicate with coworkers and customers of different personality types in a positive and professional way.
