- Serve as a resource and liaison to county extension staff and between the SC 4-H Program, Department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation (FEC) and other Clemson University Departments and programs.
- Develop programs and curriculum in natural resources and shooting sports for youth audiences and work cooperatively with subject matter specialists in the delivery of existing programs,
- Work cooperatively with partnerships including SCDNR, Natural Resource Education Coalition, SC Wildlife Federation, National Wild Turkey Federation, Quail Unlimited, Ducks Unlimited, SC Youth Learning Institute, SC Waterfowl Association, MidwayUSA, etc.
- Direct the South Carolina 4-H Shooting Sports Program.
- Manage a volunteer base of over 250 volunteer instructors and coaches.
- Train agents &/or volunteers on subject matter as needed, including 4-H Shooting Sports instructor certification training. Conduct at least two 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor Certification Workshops per year.
- Assist in planning, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating youth programs as appropriate with clientele needs and as directed by State 4-H Leader.
- Continue to seek funding/grants to support 4-H Natural Resource and Shooting Sports programs from such sources as NRA, NWTF, National 4-H Shooting Sports, Duke Power, MidwayUSA Foundation, etc.
- Work cooperatively with the other 4-H Specialist as needed to help ensure the best quality 4-H program.
- Serve as Faculty Advisor for the CU Student Chapter of the Wildlife Society

Leisure Skills Shooting Sports Coordinator and 2003-Present
Pickens Bend Range Facility Manager Clemson, SC

- Teach courses titled “Hunting and Shooting Sports Traditions” and “Turkey Hunting” in the Department of PRTM’s Leisure Skills program. Course focuses on teaching the fundamentals of hunting and gun/archery safety. Topics include riflery, shotgun, archery, ethics, role of hunters in conservation, deer hunting, waterfowl hunting, turkey hunting, etc. Hunter Education certification is also part of the course.
- Coordinate the Leisure Skills Shooting Sports program. The program consists of 30-45 classes per semester in the subjects of riflery, shotgun, archery, and hunting. Supervise 10-12 course instructors and student teaching assistants per semester. Supervise full-time employee (Assistant Facility Manager)
- Manage the Clemson University Pickens Bend Shooting Facility. Supervise range student range employees. In charge of range use schedule, maintenance, improvement, equipment inventory, supply inventory, budget, etc.
- Conduct and host numerous programs and events at the Pickens Bend Shooting facility for varying organizations such as SCDNR, Clemson Extension, Leadership Associations, youth groups, 4-H State Congress, Commissioner School of Agriculture, etc.
- Supervise Assistant Range Facility Manager
- The Leisure Skills shooting sports program serves as a model for collegiate shooting sports education across the nation. Recently the University of Auburn started a similar program after several visits to Clemson University to learn of our program.
Coach/Faculty Advisor for Clemson Shotgun Team 2010-Present

- Attend practices and competitions, when possible.
- Advise members on everything from officer duties and responsibilities, fiscal responsibility, teamwork, professionalism, job searches, personal issues, etc.

- 4-H Shotgun program has seen a 20-25% increase each year for past 5 years
- Coordinated several youth deer and dove hunts for 4-H shooting sports members across the state (2002-2008)
