The Director of Learning & Innovation works closely with the Director, the divisional principals, and faculty to support a focus on mission and to insure coherence of educational programs from the Fours through twelfth grade.  Nurturing and supporting connections between divisions and departments to more fully embrace our progressive purpose is also a primary focus of the Director of Learning & Innovation's work.

The Director of Learning & Innovation provides guidance and support for mission-focused projects imagined and created by faculty and administrative colleagues. This work is achieved through ongoing collaboration with teachers, staff, and students on learning experience design, iteration, and reflection. The Director of Learning & Innovation establishes and maintains community partnerships with LREI families and neighbors and with other schools, institutes of higher learning and not-for-profit/advocacy organizations in support of these projects.

Consistent with our origins as a laboratory school, the Director of Learning & Innovation coordinates planning and facilitation of schoolwide and small group in-house professional development activities. The Director of Learning & Innovation also supports faculty in creating workshops and conference presentations to disseminate the innovative work taking place at LREI so that this work can impact a wider community of educators and schools.
