June Weekly Plan

Day 1

  1. Review materials posted on Edline
  1. Look through materials in the order they are posted on Edline
  2. Videos may be watched as individuals, or in small or large groups.
  1. Take notes on main ideas
  1. Notes may be taken individually in Evernote or in small or large groups in a Google Doc
  2. Work to identify main ideas, key people, important events, and essential terms.

Day 2

  1. Decide on essential question to fit the topic. Check with Mrs. G to get approval.
  2. Write a blog post identifying the essential question and using evidence from the materials to answer it.  All normal blog post parameters apply (see Guide to Great Blog Posts).

Day 3

  1. Wrap up work from Days 1 and 2.
  2. As a class, make a plan for how you will create the 40 questions on this unit for the final exam.  Questions should:
  1. require knowledge of important content.
  2. require analysis of primary sources.
  1. Start creating questions on a shared class Google Doc.  Record answer key on a separate shared class Google Doc.  Be sure to check with Mrs. G about question quality if necessary.

Day 4

Complete creation of 40 final exam questions.
