Dreamhack All-Star Winter 2015

DreamHack Winter gave us a much needed alternative to football over the Thanksgiving weekend. Fnatic took the win over (my personal favorite) Team Liquid, winning $12,500 and Liquid earning $7,500.

Crazy Finals game. The kind Team Liquid spends the whole night talking about what they could have done differently. Stat Sheets

What do you guys think about the new map Towers of Doom? (Queue doom song from Invader Zim)

I've heard complaints from too snowbally to whatever team has a late game comp will win. I think overall it’s been a great map, some good comebacks from either side and also some well deserved dominant games, thoughts?

I’m relatively new to HoTS, and MoBAs in general with Heroes being my first and only one, but after getting sucked into Heroes about a month and a half ago I finally decided to dip my toe into Hero League. After my qualifiers I wound up at Rank 15, much to my own surprise. Now I’m afraid I was put into a bracket that might be outside of my skill range and have been hesitant jumping back into Hero league where I might just tank my rank. Any tips? Am I not giving myself enough credit? Any insight into how the initial ranking is determined? Thanks. Keep up the great show.

Greetings GaKy,

Serious question asked in a not so serious way.  YES GARRETT I KNOW YOU DON'T DO SPORTS. Doping is a major issue in any professional sport. I suspect that prize pots will grow for esports but will eventually plateau some way below that of footy (soccer) etc. At some point if the reward is high enough then cheating will occur. The way i see it you could have technical cheating, espionage or performance enhancers. The world is not equal and i can’t help but think these young kids are susceptible to unscrupulous methods. Do the organisers need to keep an eye on this and what year do you predict random dope testing will take place? My bet is 2032...just after mmr is sorted.

Kyle’s Notes:

Counter-Strike Players on Aderal

Adderall Suspected at the International

ESL works with Nationale Anti Doping Agentur and World Anti Doping Agency

UFC Cant afford it

Right now, ESL is just using random testing to keep costs low.

Hello fellow gamers,

I have a quick question. I have been playing Heroes for a bit now but have done very little Hero League. My top heroes are kael'thas, raynor, nova and murky. The first two are quite popular and nova is quite situational (depending on comp) I find (but then again, I am still learning). My question however is about Murky. When do you think he is a good (I will also settle for acceptable) pick? And when is he a really bad pick? This of course is for HL where the drafting dictates the game much more.

Thanks for taking the time to answer the question of your 1 dollar patron :-P
