Which theory of history did you learn in school?

Did your school focus on what the “Great Men” did, or did it focus on the ordinary people?

Which theory of history do you prefer?

When big changes happen in history, why do they happen?  Is it because of “Great Men” or is it because of ordinary people?

Question 2:

What do you think of John Green’s theory?

Do the geographical characteristics of an area determine the worldview of the people who live there?

Think about your own country/area.

How does the geographical features (e.g. rivers, mountains, desert, jungle, flooding, earthquakes, rain, drought, etc.) influence the worldview of your country?

How important are dates?  

Is it important to remember dates?

Is it okay to remove bodies from their graves for historical study?

Or, should we leave the dead where their families wanted them buried?

Is there a difference between a 3,000 year old grave and a 50 year old grave?

Which would you prefer: To live a long life, but to be forgotten when you die?

Or…To live a short life, but be remembered forever after you are dead?

It has been argued that men are inherently more violent, whereas women are supposed to be more caring and nurturing.

Is this true?  Are there differences in character between men and women?

If women ruled the world instead of men, would it change things in anyway?
