Code of Conduct for Players and Parents:

As a player and a member of the CYSA community, I understand that I must follow these rules to stay in good standing:

• Respect the game, play fairly and follow its rules.
• Respect the referee and do not engage in behavior which is abusive or offensive.
• Show respect for coaches and other program organizers.  This entails listening to the coaches’ instructions and following their directions.
• Demonstrate good sportsmanship, be courteous and treat all teammates, opponents, and officials with respect at practices and before/during and after games.  
• Always respect other people and property, in particular the privilege of the use of the Charlestown High School Fields.
• Come to practices on time prepared to play with the proper equipment (shin guards, cleats, water bottle).
• Come to matches one half hour before the start time.
• Be positive, play with effort, and take pride in your performance.
• Refrain from the use of profane or abusive language.

Player Commitment:

• Each athlete is expected to attend at least one practice a week and to be on time to practice.
• Practices/Games are listed in TeamSnap - Please update availability for all events
• Each athlete will notify the team coaches of any absence from practice or matches.
  

I understand that I must follow these rules in order to participate in the CYSA soccer program. I agree to attend at least one practice a week and understand that I may not be allowed to play in that week’s game if I do not attend at least one practice that week. I realize that there will be consequences for poor behavior. Penalties will include sitting out for a time, suspension for the practice or suspension from the program.
