Dear Sir,

In the absence of our Mr. Harry Wallis[1] we beg to acknowledge your letter of yesterday’s date with cheque for £146-1-5 for which we are obliged.[2] — Enclosed we return you the account duly receipted.

Respecting the glass belonging to the portrait of Baroness de Baeyens [2825], we have had a letter from Pottier[3] saying that he will attend to the matter without delay.

— The awning, as also the negatives of the four photographs of the exhibition, will be ready, as requested, when you send for them on Monday.

yrs faithfully
