Re:                  The 2025 Peirce Football Season

Greetings,

Your child has expressed an interest in participating in football this season.  We know the effort that goes into supporting a student-athlete, and making a decision to come out for an interscholastic sport.

The first dates we will meet are Wednesday, August 13 and Thursday, August 14.  This will be for equipment distribution.  We will have everything your child needs for our first practice.  We will be at Peirce from 3:00pm-4:00pm in the TEAM ROOM.   The doors will be open out back (back parking lot).  We would like you and your child to come in, get the gear, meet the coaches and ask any questions that you may have.  Players may choose either Wednesday or Thursday to get their equipment.  Players only need to come to one of the two dates for equipment distribution.

Each participant is required to have a physical for the fall sports season. This physical must be a completed PIAA physical and must be dated after June 1, 2025.

We have prepared this packet of information for you with valuable information about our season.  We ask that you review this packet with your child, to better understand the expectations of the program.  We welcome your child’s participation in the program and will and will do everything possible to provide them with a challenging and rewarding experience.

NOTE ABOUT EQUIPMENT

Determination of Playing Time

The coaching staff will determine the correct amount of playing time for each member of the football team.  If a player accepts a uniform, the player needs to understand that a coach will do his best to communicate the role on the team that best suits that player.  The players that work the hardest (in school and out of school), demonstrate the most leadership, and handle instruction most effectively will be the ones that play the most.

Behavior

Being an athlete that represents our school includes exhibiting above average behavior at all times.  In the opinion of the coaching staff, any participant that exhibits behavior during any of our activities that does not meet regular school criteria - they will be subject to the school discipline code.  If the problems continue, after discussion with the parents/guardians, they will be asked to withdraw from the team.

Peirce Middle School takes the “Middle School Athletic Code of Conduct” very seriously.  Please familiarize yourself with the document (found on the school website), and understand that submitting a signed form to the coaching staff is an understanding of the policies, and requirements of the code.  There is a signature page at the end of the document.  This should be printed, signed and returned to a coach during equipment distribution.
