Green Lacrosse Club

Bulldog Bantam Lacrosse - 2018

The Green Lacrosse Club’s Bulldog Bantam Lacrosse is designed as an introduction to the game of lacrosse for boys and girls in grades 1 thru 4. The primary objectives of the program are to have fun, to develop important lacrosse skills, learn basic rules, and to cultivate a love for the game of lacrosse.

The program will be guided by a combination of Green High School coaches, current Green High School Lacrosse players, and Bulldog Bantam Lacrosse parent volunteers.

Time Commitment

In general, we try to keep the time commitment to approximately one practice and one game/scrimmage per week for a six-week period. Practice will be held on the practice fields at Ariss Park or at Green Memorial Stadium. Home games will be on the Ariss game fields with the exception of Bulldog Fest*, which is held at Green Memorial Stadium. In some cases, away games are in neighboring communities.

League Format

Bulldog Bantam League is a developmental league, not a competitive league. We focus on developing the key skills players will need to be successful in a competitive environment. We build these skills through a variety of drills and scrimmages. On some occassions, we will scrimmage teams from other area clubs. All scrimmages will be played on a half field, 7v7 with no goalies. Goals will be lowered to a “V” for scrimmage purposes.

Volunteer Coaches

Each team will be coached by parent volunteers. Please consider getting involved as a parent coach, no experience necessary - just a willingness to help create a great lacrosse experience for our players.

Parent participation is a key to ensuring that your player learns the game of lacrosse in a safe, fun, and organized environment. Please help out by being a parent coach or assistant coach.

Parents can register their player online at The deadline for registration is March 31, 2018.

Registration - League Provided Equipment

Proper equipment is essential for the safety and well being of your player. To help keep starter costs low for entry level players who are trying lacrosse for the first time, player equipment is a shared expense between parents and Green Lacrosse Club. To participate, every player must have all the equipment listed below each week.

Players must provide their own:

Additional equipment will be provided by Green Lacrosse Club:

Options for Player Provided Equipment

Green Lacrosse Club has also partnered with several area lacrosse retailers to provide parents and their players with multiple options for purchasing equipment.

Green Lacrosse Club Area Retail Partners

Green Lacrosse Club recommends visiting these retail establishments in person for an in-store custom equipment fitting. The employees at these establishments are trained to outfit your player in equipment that is safe, but will also allow for growth, so that you can make your player equipment last for multiple years.
