Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

Arrests and Reports
Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of September 10th, 2024 through September 16th, 2024
September 12 – Felony Arrest (Dangerous Drugs) – On September 12th, a St. Clair County Deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for a broken tail light, and upon making contact, the driver was identified as James Gladstone. During the stop, Gladstone noted that the Deputy had a K9 with him, and admitted to the Deputy that he had methamphetamine in his vehicle, along with paraphernalia. Gladstone was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, which is a Felony charge. Gladstone was booked and released pending formal charges.
September 12 – Warrant Arrest – On September 12th, a St. Clair County Deputy arrested Ashlie Pittman at the Joplin City Police Department, for a Probation Violation. The original charge on the warrant is Non-Support, Total Arrears In Excess of 12 Monthly Payments Due Under Order of Support, which is a Class E Felony. Ashlie was transported to the St. Clair County Jail, and the bond was set at $1,000 cash only.
September 12 – Property Damage in Osceola – On September 12th, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to a call for service at the Wildflower Inn in regards to property damage. Upon making contact with the owner, the deputy was advised of multiple windows being broken and/or damaged by what appeared to be small rocks or bb’s. Photographs were taken of the damage, and a report was filed. Investigation continues.
September 13 – Warrant Arrest – On September 13th, a St. Clair County Deputy arrested Arthur Franklin Zschintzsch at the Stone County Sheriff’s Office, on a St. Clair County Warrant. The original charge on the warrant is Harassment- 1st Degree, which is a Class E Felony. Arthur was transported to the St. Clair County Jail, and there is no bond for this warrant.
September 14 – Felony Arrest (Driving While Revoked) – On September 13th, a St. Clair County Deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple lane violations, and upon making contact, the driver was identified as Mark Cordes. Mark was found to be driving on a revoked license, and also was found to be a repeat offender. Mark was arrested for Driving While Revoked/Suspended, which is a Felony charge. Mark was booked and released, pending formal charges.
September 16 – Fire in El Dorado Springs – On September 16th, St. Clair County Deputies responded to a call for service on Highway 82 in Rural El Dorado Springs in regards to a fire that started in the middle of the night. Upon making contact, the reporting party noted that a chicken coop had been on fire, and that multiple animals had been injured and/or were deceased. A St. Clair County Detective was called out to perform a fire investigation, and no accidental causes for fire ignition were observed. A witness was able to identify a suspicious vehicle parked near the property.
September 16 – Warrant Arrest – On September 16th, a St. Clair County Deputy arrested Daniel Smith at the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, on a Osceola Police Department Warrant. The original charges on the warrant are Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, which is a Class E Felony. Arthur was transported to the St. Clair County Jail, and the bond was set for $15,000 cash or surety.
September 16 – Warrant Arrest – On September 16th, a St. Clair County Deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding, on A Highway. Upon contact, the deputy identified the driver as Casey Reeves. Casey was found to have an active warrant issued out of Cass County for Failure To Appear. The original charge on the warrant is Non-Support, which is a Misdemeanor Class A. Arthur was transported to the St. Clair County Jail, and the bond was noted to be ROR.
September 16 – Stealing – On September 16th, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to a call for service in regards to stealing on W Highway. Upon making contact with the reporting party, it was noted that multiple items were missing from her house, including a 1959 class ring, and a piggy bank of old coins. A report was filed, and photographs were taken of the area.
