Corporate Liaison

The Corporate Liaison is the first and main point of contact for the association's corporate  sponsors. The role primarily consists of sending and receiving emails, liaising with sponsors  regarding advertising and promoting their opportunities as well as contributing to committee  meetings with regards to QUTASA’s corporate sponsors. It requires a high level of attention to  detail, outstanding communication skills and ability to remain organised and manage time  effectively.  

Key responsibilities include: -

Fostering and growing new and existing relationships with QUTASA’s corporate sponsors  Assisting and negotiating with sponsors to help organise events  

Assisting with the successful planning and execution of these events  Ensuring that sponsors are satisfied, and any questions are to be answered promptly and  concisely  

Collaborating with other executive members such as the marketing and events directors  in the preparation of events and the promotion of any marketing material Maintaining professional conduct, both at events and in all correspondence.

Events Director  

The Events Directors plan events and ensure all aspects of the events have are arranged far in  advance. This role requires high attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills, the ability  to execute thoroughly, an outgoing personality and creative thinking.  

Key responsibilities include:  

Calling multiple organisations to book the best event venue  

Organising event details including food, drinks, music, photographers, decorations,  wristbands and layout of the venue and ticketing platform  

Communication with other executive members to ensure they are aware of the booking  details

Marketing Director  

The Marketing Directors are the link between the executive team and QUTASA members. They  ensure members are provided with timely and accurate information on all events and  opportunities. This mainly relates to QUTASA events but includes corporate sponsor opportunities  and other QUT events.  

Key responsibilities include:  

Creating event pages on Facebook and the QUTASA website  

Managing all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and  Facebook

Communication of events with members through social media and email

  Creating all marketing material/content including Facebook and Instagram images as well as  brochures and flyers. Experience with Photoshop, InDesign and Canva are highly regarded.

IT Director  

The IT Director ensures the technology side of QUTASA operates effectively and efficiently.  

Key responsibilities include:  

Management and maintenance of the QUTASA website  

Communicating any issues with the website platform to the website developers

 Assisting with any errors in the ticketing for events  

Responding to member queries through Facebook and email when required

Sports Director  

The role of the Sports Director is to promote involvement in social sports and extracurricular  activities.  

Key responsibilities include:  

Organisation of sports and events  

Recruiting participants and communicating weekly players to remind them of game  times weekly

Ensuring enough team members available  

Arranging equipment and uniforms.
