EAP Raffle Baskets
Our Gr 4 and 5 Students are participating in the Entrepreneurial Adventure Program. Their first business venture is a Raffle Basket Draw. All proceeds are in support of the OK Clean Water Project. Purchasing raffle tickets will give you the opportunity to win 1 of 3 fantastic basket prizes! The cost of raffle tickets are 3 tickets for $5.00 or 7 tickets for $10.00. You can send in money until Thursday April 20th. The Raffle Basket Committee will visit classes daily to collect money. We will hold the draw at lunchtime on Thursday, April 20th. Our school will be hosting both the girls and boys basketball tournaments and we look forward to seeing many parents supporting our teams. The girls basketball tournament is taking place on Wednesday, April 12th and the boys basketball tournament is taking place on Thursday, April 20th.
Hydro Ottawa Presentations
Hydro Ottawa will be at the school for electricity safety and conservation presentations on Tuesday, April 18th. They will present in the gym to the junior students during Block 1, the kindergarten students during block 2 and the primary students during block 3.
This year, for our Lenten project, we will be raising money for the Shepherds of Good Hope. Here is more information about our project and the Alms calendar that you can follow. Thanks for your support.
CSPA Parent Workshop
The Catholic School Parents Association will be holding a workshop called, “Recognizing and supporting the mental health needs of our children and youth.” Dr. Elizabeth Paquette will be presenting at the workshop, which will take place on Thursday, April 27th, from 7:00-9:00pm at Immaculata High School. This session will explore the concepts of "normal stress" and the "continuum of mental health" along with the signs and symptoms of potential mental health issues in children and youth. When and where to access services and supports for mental health within our community will be discussed. Strategies to foster resilience in our children and youth will be shared. This weekend we will have the opportunity to celebrate Easter. A reminder that there will be no school on Good Friday (Friday, April 14th) and Easter Monday (Monday, April 17th). We look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday, after their Easter celebrations.
