Purdue Administration,

I am writing to demand that the university drop the cases against student organizers involved with the Purdue Liberation Zone and specifically remove the sanctions placed on Johnny Hazboun. The university is targeting Hazboun, the only Palestinian student organizer facing disciplinary action, by firing him from his RA position without severance and evicting him from his housing. As Purdue faces a housing crisis and the fall semester approaches, this decision effectively renders Hazboun homeless, as he was not offered any on-campus housing accommodations.

Purdue University faces a housing crisis due to over-admission, while President Mung Chiang publicly boasts that the influx of students is a result of Purdue University’s superior handling of Pro-Palestinian protests relative to other universities. However, Purdue has chosen to disproportionately attack the only Palestinian student facing disciplinary action. This decision sets a dangerous precedent that the university can fire, evict, and punish anyone that disagrees with the administration.

I,  a [student/faculty member/community member/parent/etc], object and demand that the sanctions against Hazboun be removed immediately and that all four cases against student organizers involved with the Liberation Zone be dropped.
