Day 1 | Depart for Delhi. |
Day 2 | Arrive in Delhi. Meet and transfer to hotel. Meals: Welcome dinner |
Day 3 | Introduction to India – History, Politics, Religion: Learn about the history of India and Delhi, the independence struggle, see the major iconic sites of democratic India (India Gate, President’s House, Parliament House) and learn about how the country functions. Visit Gandhi Smriti to see the life and times of Mahatma Gandhi. Visit the Qutb Minar, which marks the arrival of Islamic dynasties in India. Built by the Slave Dynasty who ruled India for nearly a century, the complex is a grand cultural statement marking the beginning of a new religion that transformed the country. We can also take a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi, to see the city of Shahjahanabad, which was ruled by the Mughals until they lost their empire to the British. Meals: Breakfast and dinner |

Day 6 | Visit Taj Mahal at sunrise. |
Day 7 | Morning visit to a Business School Afternoon visit an educational non-profit organization Meals: Breakfast and dinner |
Day 8 | Excursion to Elephanta Island. A UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afternoon visit the Prince of Wales Museum, walk through Marine Drive and see the famous fast food at Chowpatty Beach. |
Day 9 | Morning visit Dharavi Slum to learn about the informal economy, market-driven recycling, migration trends in India, urban villages, etc. Afternoon visit a middle-class market area to learn about the typical products and services in the market, consumer preferences, local versus global brands, trends in the market etc. Meals: Breakfast and dinner |
Day 10 | Departure day. Depart from Mumbai. |
