1. To post an assignment, begin on the Groups Space Home page for the class to which you wish to post.

2. It’s easiest to post a new assignment using the “Quick Add” menu.

Access the “Quick Add” menu by clicking the plus sign top-right.

3. The default “Event Type” is “Assignment Dropbox,” which permits you to collect digital submissions from students.

However….

4. Because most assignments won’t require digital submission, we recommend using the menu to select “Homework” as your “Event Type” instead.

Making this change will also eliminate the redundant “Date Assigned” box.


5. Form items marked with a red asterisk are mandatory; the form will not submit without them.

At minimum, in addition to the “Event Type” you already chose, your assignment needs a title and a due date.

6. Fill in assignment information.

7. “Save Event” to publish just to this one class.

Alternatively, “Save & Clone” to quickly create a copy of the assignment for posting to another section.
