The Shaded Jackals - Culture & Goals

All parts of EVE gameplay are thoroughly encouraged as a Jackal. Combat pilots cannot fly without equipment and equipment is not available without industrialists. There are many ways to help the corp and your fellow Jackals where everyone benefits.

Priority number one is that you have fun as a pilot while remembering to keep the right attitude. A perfect example of this is to observe the 8 Golden Rules Of EVE. Priority number two is that as a Jackal you feel comfortable when operating in hostile space. This can be roaming as an explorer, raider, or production pilot in space that does not offer a ‘blue blanket’ for AFK or lazy piloting. We will never be part of a large coalition or bloc in EVE so learning how to pilot well should be something you enjoy.

Corp Goals:

  • Help members sustain themselves and learn the game
  • Establish bases to jumpstart new exploring, combat, and production pilots
  • Provide solo and small gang info and opportunities for combat pilots

Corp Culture:

  • Casual community (Real life is the priority)
  • Just let leadership know when things come up and you will be less active
  • WIllingness to take on risk & new space
  • Jackals should become comfortable operating in non-friendly space
  • Exploration, raiding, “hostile industry,” ninja mining, etc.
  • Understand that killboard stats are not the game
  • All losses are lessons (some of us get repeat lessons if not paying attention)
  • Lessons are needed to become a competent pilot
  • Healthy level of independence in members' actions
  • No one will tell you how to play and there are no CTAs
  • Welcome and guide new players, we are learning friendly
  • We can be classified as a learning corp
  • Share the lessons you already learned with new pilots
  • Scanning, production, market, & PvP alts are welcome if they contribute

Corp Expectations:

  • Have fun
  • Focus on learning from mistakes
  • Remain calm and act respectable (banter in local chat is fine)
  • Share intel on New Eden, signatures, wormholes, & locals (i.e. Corp Tripwire, bookmarks, & chat)
