Why do people do what they do? What is it that influences our minds?

Social pressure comes in a variety of forms, beginning with familial expectations, then peer pressure, followed by  pressures and expectations bestowed on us by our society. When we make a decision, is it truly ours, or is it based on society’s standards . Families are forever there, and friends will always have their opinions. Mass media has their claws sunk deep into this country, and society’s eyes never stop watching. It’s said that our fingerprints never fade from the lives we touch; in other words, we’re under society’s constant influence, in one way or another.  This makes me want to do a research on the social pressures on teenagers.
