Learning Environment and Curriculum

EdVenture Club Staff are consistent in daily routine with a flexible open mind.

  1. Site Programming Schedules

EdVenture Club Staff give appropriate choices

Our staff offer choices such as gym, computer lab and outside.

Edventure Club Staff offer a variety of activities for all ages and abilities.

Our staff provide age appropriate curriculum for different activities.

EdVenture Club Staff ensure a safe environment through active supervision and crisis training.

  1. Policy for Use of Restraint:
Restraint should not be done by anyone who has not completed the Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Program.
Restraint shall be the last choice of intervention when working with disruptive students.
Restraint will only be used to protect the safety of the child being restrained or others around him/her.
When restraint is used for the first time, a conference with the child’s parent(s) will be held.  Further conferences will be held as needed, either at the request of the parents or staff of Community Education.
When restraint is used on the same child twice within a six-month period, the parent will be notified in writing that further use of restraint is possible.  The parent will be asked to sign a restraint acknowledgement/permission form.

EdVenture Club Staff ensure age appropriate supplies are on hand to support learning.

  1. Plan ahead for all supplies and requests; inform Site Leader of low supplies.
  2. Supplies can be for daily use, such as game requests, activities or projects and gym supplies.  This also includes supplies for any classes that you are teaching and may have gotten missed or running short.
