Otherworlds League Rules

The Otherworlds: League is designed as the best way for new players to get into the Otherworlds game and universe, to see all it has to offer. It also serves as a way to have returning players engage in new adventurers, and experiences!

You will begin with a character, and will progress earning points for your chosen faction. Full rules can be found here: (insert rules here)

This league is also going to be ran at Geek Out Games on a weekly basis, as well as other participating stores, conventions, and events. You can subscribe to our sanctioned events here:

Entry is $0, that's right FREE. It will cover the hundreds of hours Vincent will slave over this, while also working to develop Otherworlds products.

If you'd like to show your support, you can simply support by signing up to the Otherworlds Newsletter here: (insert link), and by interacting on the Otherworlds Facebook page: (insert link here).

FAQ

Q: Where do I play a sanctioned event?

A: Vindicated Entertainment runs sanctioned (official) Otherworlds games on a weekly basis at Geek Out Games. You may also find us at conventions, and will be at GenConIndy this year.

Q: How do I participate in the League if I can't drive out to your events?

A: You have some options. The first is that there are still ways to earn points for your faction, even if you can't make it to a sanctioned event. Such options include the Commentator, Creator, and Researcher.

The second option is to start running your own sanctioned games!

Q: How would I run my own sanctioned events?

A: You will need to email me directly requesting permission to run a sanctioned event. Afterwards, I will supply you with all of the material necessary to run your own events based on your needs. Otherworlds is really easy to play, and luckily I'm available to speak to directly at vincentsbaker@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Q: What comes with choosing a faction? Can I only play with those in my same faction?

A: Factions are only meant to add to the experience, and not detract from it. Thus, you're never limited in who you play your events with, regardless of faction.

Factions are a way to simply connect and work together with others from around the world, to earn cool rewards and bragging rights.

Q: How do the points for Architect and Creator work?

A: Both the Architect and Creator objectives are unique in the fact that they do not have a cap for how many points you can earn for the objective.

Whenever you submit your terrain or created piece of work, you'll receive a score from me that will be approximate to 200 points per 1 hour or $5 invested. So if the quality of the piece looks as though it took 5 hours of time, it will earn around 1,000 points. If a terrain piece was purchased for $30, it will earn 1,200 points. Quality is certainly a factor as well. An art piece that is stated to be worked on for 5 hours for example, but lacks professional quality, wouldn't earn as much points as a professional piece of art that was done in 3 hours for example.

Q: What happens to the terrain I donate for the Architect objective?

A: As stated, it's considered a donation to be used for Otherworlds League. You will be credited on the terrain piece (if possible) and will also receive a public “thank you” on our Facebook and Twitter. Do NOT donate terrain unless you're okay with us having it.

Q: What rights do I have for fanart I submit for the Creator objective?

A: We will have the right to share any artwork submitted to us to the public.

Fanart, and written pieces that we enjoy is possible to find their way into our official products such as the Otherworlds: Core Rulebook, with credit given to the creator of the particular piece. In this case we will discuss the details with you.
