Friday 28 July 2017 Term 3 - Week 1
From The Principal
Kia ora tatou katoa, Annyong Haseyo, Talofa, Malo e lelei, Bula vi naka, Kia orana Nga mihi nui ki a koutou, Namaste, Nihao, Greetings to you all.
Welcome back to Term 3. Hope the holidays went well and you had a lot of time to catch up with things. Shame about the weather, thank goodness we haven’t had all the rain that the poor people in the south have had to endure.
Over the holidays we have managed to recarpet several rooms that we were hoping would be replaced by the Ministry, however we can’t wait any longer. The rooms look great and teachers and children are happy.
Rimu House is the winning house for last term and they are enjoying a fun day as I am writing this - my house so I can’t wait to see all the children participating.
We have many exciting things planned for term 3. Keep an eye on our newsletter for more information.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

The following students were recognised this fortnight for their commitment to the three R’s. Respect - The way we treat other people and property. Resilience - In the way we overcome obstacles about our learning and behaviour. Responsibility - Managing ourselves, our jobs and the way we look after property and places in our school. Well done students!!

Room 3 has been celebrating Autumn. Here are some autumn leaves that we made using warm and cool colours. Once we had sketched our leaves we used tissue paper to cover the leaf. Detail was added to the leaves with black vivid pen and we learnt how to draw a spiral shape with chalk pastels for the back ground. We are very proud of our artwork.
