Fülöp László, the gifted young artist who, at the wish of the dowager Empress of Germany, put on an exhibition of his collected works in Berlin, is being truly fêted in the imperial capital. Newspapers are devoting whole columns to extolling his merit and he is being overwhelmed with grand commissions from the very highest circles. Werner, the great German artist, has publicly expressed his admiration for László and the imperial court has been taking a notable interest in him. Prince Ratibor intends to have his entire family painted by László and the Grand Duke of Weimar has also invited him to court, with a view to producing a portrait [10512].
