HOW TO PURCHASE A TICKET

***Please note:  Museum of Fine Arts Screenings, November 10 & November 17: All tickets for MFA screenings must be ordered on the MFA WEBSITE at mfa.org/film.  The BJFF ticketing page will direct you to the MFA website to purchase tickets. Passholders will be able to obtain tickets for the films outside of the MFA at the Huntington Avenue entrance from a BJF staff member beginning 1 hour before the screening.***

Select your film, then click “more details”

Click “Buy Tickets”

In “Select Ticket Quantity,” choose “1” and click “add.” There will be an additional $2.00 processing fee per ticket added upon checkout.

 

Click “Proceed to checkout” or “return to list” to purchase a ticket to another film.

When you are ready, click “Checkout.”

Please consider making an additional tax-deductible donation to support Boston Jewish Film’s year-round programs or click “no thanks.”

If you already have an account, sign in and click “submit.”

Please fill out completely.  All of this year’s virtual films are available to Massachusetts residents only with a valid MA address and zip code.  

PLEASE REMEMBER TO JOT DOWN YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD AND VERIFY THAT YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS CORRECT.  This is very important as you will need this information when you want to watch films during our virtual festival, November 18 - 20.

Fill in payment information, click “make payment”


Click “Finalize Order”

A confirmation page will be generated to show that your transaction was complete.  A confirmation will also be sent to the email address you entered into your account.  It will be coming from info@bostonjfilm.org.  IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR CONFIRMATION IN YOUR EMAIL, PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM/JUNK FOLDER AND BE SURE TO MARK AS NOT SPAM/JUNK.  


WATCH VIRTUAL FILM:

USE YOUR CONFIRMATION:

From the confirmation page or the confirmation sent to your email from info@bostonjfilm.org,  click on “Watch Now.  If you are not signed in, you will be prompted to do so. You can begin streaming anytime beginning November 18, 12am.  Please note once you start watching you have 72 hours to view the film. Films will not be available after November 20, 11:59pm.

WATCH USING YOUR SIGN IN AND FILM LIST

In the film list go to the film you purchased, click on “more details”.

If you have not signed in, you will need to do so.**

Click “watch now.”  If you are not signed in, then the “watch now” prompt will not appear.

**All-Access Pass holders will only need to sign-in and all the films available for streaming will have a “watch now” prompt already available for viewing.

You are ready to stream!

HOW TO VIEW VIRTUAL FILM

Once you click “watch on this device” the header that appears on the film will let you know how long you have to watch.  You will have 72 hours to watch the film.

STREAMING TO YOUR SMART TV

PLEASE NOTE:  ROKU AND APPLETV ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Although we cannot guarantee you will be able to watch on your Smart TV from your device, here are some options for streaming to your TV:

Apple AirPlay:

*Check to make sure that Airplay is turned on your Smart TV. Should work on:  Newer smart TV from LG, Samsung, Sony or Vizio.  CLICK HERE for instructions

*Set Up Wi-Fi on Your iDevice to make sure its connected to the same router as your Smart TV.  Compatible devices include any iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad capable of running iOS 11.4 or later.  CLICK HERE for instructions

*If you are unable to find Airplay settings on your TV or your iDevice, then they are not compatible to AirPlay.

Display from your PC to SMART TV:

For optimal screening experience, please make sure all your tabs are closed.  Recommended browsers include Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome.  If you are having problems screening in one browser, please switch to another. (Internet Explorer NOT supported)

Using an HDMI Cord:

If you have a laptop or computer with an HDMI port, you can use an HDMI cable to connect your computer to your TV, using it as a second monitor. You will need to have access to the back or side of your TV to check to see if your TV has an HDMI port and to make this connection.

Once connected, make sure the correct input source is selected on your TV. Your TV will then act as a second monitor for your computer.

IN-PERSON PROGRAMS

Here is what you need to know about attending the in-person programs November 6 - 17.  

*You must present either your print-at-home or mobile ticket at the theater for entrance into the theater - no exceptions.

*We are unable to reserve seats at this time unless special accommodations are needed, contact info@bostonjfilm.org.

*Seating begins 15 minutes before showtime

HOW TO OBTAIN YOUR TICKETS

From your confirmation:

Sample:  Mobile Ticket - you can save this on your phone and present at the theater.
