I am a [community member / McGill alumni / Concordia alumni / Montreal citizen] that stands in full solidarity with the brave students at Concordia and McGill universities that have set up indefinite encampments on the McGill lower field.

The University’s decision to invest in companies that are complicit in the Israeli occupation and genocide of Palestinian land and life is a stain in history. The students’ demands must be met and we will continue to support the encampments by showing up daily, by planning to spend the day at the site of the encampment, and by offering the students supplies and food. We will do so until all of their demands have been met.

The students demands are below:

  1. DISCLOSE:
  1. We demand full financial transparency from the Concordia Investments Committee and the Board of Governors to disclose all investments in companies complicit in the genocide of the Palestinian people.
  1. DIVEST:
  1. We demand that McGill and Concordia divest from all companies complicit in the Israeli occupation and genocide of the Palestinian people
  1. McGill and Concordia must cut all ties with Tel Aviv University, Hebrew University, Bar-IIan University, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Ben Gurion University of the Negev and Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design
  2. McGill and Concordia must cease all cooperation with the Azrieli foundation
  3. McGill and Concordia must cancel all academic courses and exchange programs that normalise relations with the Zionist state
  1. DEFEND :
  1. We demand an end to the repression and censorship of Palestine activism on our campuses. We further demand that Palestinian, Arab and Muslim students who have been targeted by racist attacks be defended. There should be no repercussions or disciplinary charges for actions taken by students of McGill and Concordia Universities in support of Palestine. Pending disciplinary charges against students related to support for Palestine activism will be dropped.
  1. DECLARE:
  1. We demand that McGill and Concordia Universities immediately publish a statement condemning the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people and calling on the Canadian government to cease all military contracts and implement a two-way arms embargo with the Zionist state. ​​​​​​​
