Users can see what Seasoned Harvest is about and items available. If they like what they see, and we deliver in the area, we hope to convert users into members

How the design could achieve these requirements

Give overview of company without too much detail, make it easy to scan page, and show benefits

Features, actions and content that each page will contain

In the hero section, users can put their zipcode in to see if we deliver in their area. Tell them about the free shipping. See the broad categories of our food to show variety without overwhelming them. Tell them about features / benefits of becoming a member.

B. User Tasks

Arrives at homepage, Finds items to buy

Requirement

A homepage that allows for browsing and searching products.

How the design could achieve these requirements

The homepage design will have clear top-level navigation with sub-categories and browsable collections of products that the user might like to buy. The side will also allow users to search easily the entire inventory of products.

Features, actions and content that each page will contain

Sitewide search (potentially based on name of food, favorites, popularity, price, brand, special diet.) High-level navigation and sub-categories, use breadcrumbs to show where they are at. User reviews will not be added.

Adds items to cart

Requirement

Product details and options to inform the user. Allow users to add items to cart.

How the design could achieve these requirements

There will be a grid layout for individual items. The shopping cart will show on every page.

Features, actions and content that each page will contain

Inside the grid, there would be name and pictures of items, description, quantity, and add to cart feature. Once added, the user would have the option to continue shopping or to checkout. The shopping cart will show on every page and can expand to show details. You may also be interested in...show related items.

D. User Tasks

Prompted to Log In or Register

Requirement

We need a checkout flow that requires a user to log in or sign up before completing fields for shipping address, billing address, credit card information, delivery options, confirm and pay.

How the design could achieve these requirements

The log in/register pop up will prompt users to enter their information. Login and register options will be in the same pop up window.

Features, actions and content that each page will contain

They will submit their information by clicking on one of the two action buttons- Log In or Register. Once logged in, it goes back to the page that will have the check out info.

E. User Tasks

User purchases items

Requirement

We need a checkout flow that requires a user to log in or sign up before completing fields for shipping address, billing address, credit card information, delivery options, confirm and pay.

The create account / login pop up window will prompt users to enter their information.

Features, actions and content that each page will contain

They fill out credit card info, choose or skip the delivery, review order, then submit. They will receive a receipt in their email.
