Dear Mr. de Laszlo,

It is with great pleasure of course that I will comply with your request and give my portrait [3786] for your exhibition[1] – Would you be kind enough to confirm to me the date upon which they will come for the picture as I have unfortunately mislaid your letter

We have recently returned from Switzerland where my husband[2] has

been taking a lengthy rest

I was awfully sorry not to be able to ask you in a second time when you were in Paris last February as it so happened that we were just leaving for the South of France

We will be glad to see you on the occasion of your exhibition which will no doubt be the outstanding artistic event of the season
