‘together we are stronger’

What’s happened this week ?

On Thursday we were visited by the school’s allocated road safety officer who worked with most children at some point during the day. Our Reception children learnt about the importance of sitting in a car seat from the Benjamin and Bethany characters.

Our year 1 children donned their high visibility vests and went on Walcott Road to learn how to cross the road safely.

During the afternoon children in Dolphin class learned about the importance of seat belt safety through use of models and a short film clip and children in Shark class learnt about travelling safely including on buses and coaches in preparation for year 6’s move to high school next year.

Mathemagician Morning and World Book Day Arrangements - Rescheduled arrangements below

Our third Mathemagician Event coming soon!

Theme: Multiplication

Due to the school closure this event is now rescheduled for Thursday 23rd March @9:05-11:15 Parents welcomed into school to see the strategies used for multiplication and join your child in class. The last one which focused on subtraction was very positively received. New to this event will be an after coffee workshop session which will include making a counting  stick to take home.

On Friday 24th March we will be celebrating Red Nose Day.

Make a donation to come to school wearing a daft disguise - a silly hat, wig, funny glasses or go the whole hog and dress up.

At playtime the children will also be able to have their faces painted with simple but funny designs for a 20p donation.

It should be a fun day to remember!
