Elementary School:

I wanted to be a Marine Biologist or Astronomer when I grew up.

Middle/Intermediate School:

Forest Park  Middle School  (Franklin, WI)

I was a Girl Scout, loved horseback riding and camping.

Franklin High School:

Franklin High School - Class of 1991

I enjoyed participating in extracurricular activities: volleyball, basketball, and pom poms.

Post Secondary Path:

Bachelor of Arts, Alverno College, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Biology Major and Chemistry/ Philosophy Minors. Graduation: 2001

I have a love of the natural world and wanted to become a research biologist.  I dreamed of someday being a scientist in the rainforests of South America.

I worked for many years as a laboratory technician and research & development chemist.  I was inspired by my brother and sister, and by the birth of my daughter, and I knew I was meant to be a teacher.

I believe that every student should work to do their best, focus on their growth as learners, and have opportunities to enjoy learning.  As their teacher, I will facilitate a healthy and respectful learning environment all along challenging students to learn and grow.
