1. Message from our New President

Jai Jinendra,

Happy New Year and Best Wishes for 2013.

First,  kudos to the 2012 Executive committee for an outstanding job done last year. You have set the standards very high for us. Thank you and we appreciate your dedication and hard work. JSCNC has a rich history and is indebted to a number of visionary leaders who designed and set the course for this center in the late 1970s. At the same time we are excited about the opportunities ahead of us to understand our religion better, understand the changing needs and the challenges of the society we live in and last but not the least help ourselves to the best of our ability to apply the principles of jainism in our daily lives. Our overarching goal, this year, will be to give kids and youths the knowledge and tools of jainism they need to thrive in this challenging times. We hope you can join us in better understanding the principles of jainism and in working with us to assure that we continue to meet our mission to prepare the kids and youths for the 21st century.

As we begin the journey this year we sincerely hope that you will volunteer your time in any and all of the activities of the center throughout the year. We are looking forward to your continued support for various activities of the center and please feel free to contact any of the committee members in this regard.

Thank you.

Pratyush Mehta

Pathshala Dues for 2013

I  would like to remind the parents of Pathshala kids to ensure that annual dues for Hindu Society facility use are paid. This is a Hindu Society of NC requirement for all groups who use the facility. The contribution is $10 per month per child and you can either pay monthly or annually.

For your convenience, the committee can accept your check on your behalf and provide it to HSNC. You can bring a check to the next meeting or let us know the arrangements you have made (auto draft/direct pay).

You cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all the parents who have already registered and made their payments! We only have about ⅓ of the students registered. Please make sure you register your child. Registration instructions:

Food-bank Visit

As part of our community outreach program, JSCNC Pathshala children visited Raleigh Food bank On Dec 15, 2012. This was a joint venture between JSCNC pathshala & local YJA chapter. We had a good turnout (6 Adults & 9 children) from Mahavir Group. Thanks to Kunal Lodaya for taking the leadership to set this visit up.
