Dear [MP's Name],
I am writing to you as one of your constituents to express my deep concern about the growing crisis of eating disorders in our country, and in particular, the lack of adequate services for those affected by these life-threatening conditions.
As you may know, eating disorders are among the most severe mental health illnesses, yet they remain dramatically underfunded and under-resourced.
On the 2nd September, Richard Quigley MP is hosting a debate on “preventing eating disorder deaths” and I wanted to ask if you will attend this debate on behalf of your constituents. The situation is dire for those with eating disorders. Lives are being lost, families are being torn apart, and the strain on our NHS is unsustainable.
