Concorde’s most famous and flown routes were over the Atlantic to and from London, Paris, New York and Barbados. Concorde flew, of course, to many other destinations, but because of noise restrictions caused by the sonic boom Concorde spent most of her life flying over water. After finishing my first Concorde World Tour I stopped to think... where could I fly next? And then a perfect idea came to my mind: islands. They are, by definition surrounded by water and the perfect scenario to fly supersonic most of the time, without any subsonic restriction either on departure or arrival.

Thinking of islands I soon focused my attention to the Pacific Ocean. In my previous tour I had visited Tahiti, Guam and Hawaii. But were there any more islands with a runway long enough so that Concorde could take-off and land? To my surprise I found that not only FSLabs Concorde-X could visit much more islands than I had thought at first but also that some of those islands were almost as big (as small, in fact) as the runway itself!!! I could find runways of about 10,000 feet / 3,000 m in a tiny surface of just under 7 km2 / 10 Km2. That was getting interesting!!!

So after jumping from one Pacific island to another I finally thought... why not designing a full world tour? And this is the result. My suggestion consists of 64 stages in which you will be able to land your Concorde in what I consider very interesting destinations both for the Concorde and for making short “excursions” with STOL planes around nearby islands at some destinations. Those are “optional” excursions, but I bet you’ll enjoy them :-)

My goal was landing in islands as small as possible. That’s why for some stages I give to options: a straight stage to the next destination or making a stop at some interesting spots, although some of them are “big islands” or no islands at all. Of course, it will be up to you to decide whether you fly them or not.
