Dear Mr. De Laszlo,

I am much obliged to you for your note in regard to your portrait of President Roosevelt [5201]. I am forwarding your remarks to Mr. Jenkins.[1]

Mr. Jenkins informs me that he has delivered to Mr. Laib[2] all the negatives that were received from him. In Paris there are some positives (not negatives) which were sent to him there by Braun,[3] they are on large sheets of glass and the transit would be difficult and expensive. As they are of no value, Mr. Jenkins does not presume that you will require them.

Yours truly

Roger Ingpen

P. A. de Laszlo Esq.,

Editorial Notes:

The sender, Roger Ingpen, was a British literary editor and writer. Hutchinson was the publisher of Oakley Williams’ Selections from the Work of P. A. de László, London, 1921. Frederick Jenkins, mentioned in the letter, was involved in providing reproductions for Williams’ publication, however, this working relationship ultimately soured. For correspondence involving Hutchinson/Ingpen, Jenkins, Williams and de László, see DLA007-0019 to DLA007-0026.
