Confirm performance expectations in job description and professional standards and teaching criteria
Develop personal objectives -from 2012 review
Negotiate delegations and additional duties/responsibilities.
When: Term 1.
Appraiser and Appraisee meet to confirm development objectives including monitoring and support and to plan the appraisal programme.
Classroom visit –planning requirements
When: Term 1
Meet with PLG group- identify critical friend
Complete action research plan for writing
Identify personal objectives –in consultation with the Principal
-personal professional development
The appraisee will be responsible for recording/documenting progress towards the achievement of the professional standards, schoolwide and personal objectives in preparation for the appraisal visit(s) and /or task observations.
Meet to discuss Action Research Cycle and Target student (Individual Learning Plan) –Case Studies -Next Steps
The appraisee has available all relevant documentation as evidence of professional standards having been met, and personal and schoolwide objectives having been achieved.
When: By Term 4, Week 8 all visits will have been completed unless further monitoring is required.
The Principal and appraisee will meet to view documentation, planning and assessment, student achievement, staff achievements, school values, issues, identify areas of strength and development.
When: By Term 4, Week 8
The principal will report to the Board of Trustees that all appraisals have been completed according to school policy and the procedure outlined. This report will also outline progress towards the achievement of the schoolwide objective and other achievements/successes of note. The principal may, in general terms, alert the board to issues/outcomes requiring ongoing monitoring and support through professional development. Any such information will not identify the person or persons requiring such support.
When: December BOT Meeting
