West End 24-hour Safe Space for youth
When youth can't go home - when they are in crisis or being exploited - they can't wait until morning. Such youth have told us they end up going to unsafe places where they are vulnerable to gangs, drugs, and other harm. This is why a 24-hour space is needed.
With $35,000 in support from the community through a GoFundMe campaign, $380,000 over three years from the Province of Manitoba, and an in-kind contribution from the City of Winnipeg for the use of the Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre facility, West End 24/7 Safe Space opened its doors on June 17, 2016! Thank you to all our supporters!

“The West End 24/7 initiative will potentially save lives and prevent tragedies from happening in Winnipeg.
The streets can be dangerous 24 hours a day and there are predators out there seeking their next victim.”
