Dear Mrs. de Laszlo
I was so glad to hear your good news. What a relief to be once more a united family after the nightmare of the last 15 months. I am so sorry for the delay in answering your letters but 95 is now a Club for Canadian [nurses?] & your letter missed me in Scotland. Tomorrow, I go to 10 Carlton House Terrace the Astor’s house. All but the top floor is given up to officers. But it is any how a roof. I absolutely failed to find a house I could take in London.
I have been much interested in reading your enclosure. It wd be a final vindication. What a pity it could not have been produced before
[Page 2]
it might have saved so much misery – I am returning the copy in case you need it. Thanking you so much for letting me see it. What a joy it must be for your husband to get back to his painting. What comfort to think he is gaining his health. Please forgive this untidy paper. I hear [illegible] London is [odious?], so cold & impossible to get about. All good wishes to you both
Yours sincerely
[illegible]
