Profile: ALBERTO FUMAGALLI was born in 1985. His adventure began at the young age of sixteen, when by chance he followed a path which led him to become the promoter he is today.  When he was 18 he organized his first event in the soccer camp of his hometown, where DJ Ross played along with the showcase of the label he managed back then, the Spy rec.  Since then Alberto hasn’t stopped organizing events, “I just couldn’t stop” he claimed in an interview. In 2005, along with some friends, he created to the corporate “Anight” with which he supervised the main clubs in Lecco’s area.

Throughout the years Anight became an important reality, which counts on an infinite passion for music and a professional proficiency in organizing any type of event; thanks to such synergies, in 2013, Alberto and his team gave rise to Nameless Music Festival, a dance festival strongly rooted in the area. It is actually so deeply-rooted that its name was inspired by the improper translation of the “Unnamed”, a character of the novel set in Lecco, “The Betrothed” written by Alessandro Manzoni.

Since the day of its birth, NAMELESS has intended to be a point of reference in the sector of live events. After two editions though, in 2015 the festival was moved to Barzio, not far away from Lecco. In the meantime, Alberto, thanks to the partnership with Federico Cirillo of Univeral Music Group Italia, founded “Nameless Records”, the spin off record of the festival.  The underlying idea of such project is simple: enhancing and working on music that is made in Italy, while increasing the visibility of home-grown talents.

Nameless is currently the leader event in the sector and Nameless Record is developing day by day, but behind all this success there is a huge effort that keeps Alberto busy 365 days a year.  Alberto is now working with his team on new thrilling and unconventional projects, which are of course all centered around the dear letter “N”.

NAMELESS MUSIC FESTIVAL was “born” in Lecco, by Lake Como, in 2013. The idea came up to a group of friends in their twenties, headed by Alberto Fumagalli, who shared their ambition to become a point of reference in the dance music scene in Italy.  The first two editions took place in Lecco, and they saw as leading artists the likes of Steve Aoki, TJR, Nervo, Rehab, DVBBS and Netsky. The festival was moved to Barzio in 2015, and a key element of the new location is the beauty of the mountains that surround the area of the festival, which has enhanced its reputation. At this point the festival blowed up, in fact it enticed young people from all over Italy and from several European countries.

2015 was the year that saw the beginning of the collaboration between Nameless and Universal Music Italia: what came out of this relationship was totally revolutionary, in fact it gave rise to Nameless Music records, a record label with the aim of reviving the dance music made in Italy. The label was under the close oversight of Federico Cirillo, and it instantly became synonym of quality and an important benchmark for young DJs and Italian producers.

2017 is preparing to be a year full of surprises, not only concerning the festival, which has already broke the internet by announcing artists like Axwell & Ingrosso, Afrojack and Zedd, in fact there will be surprises also regarding the record label, which is ready to export its music abroad, but on top of that it’s ready to launch its talents all around the globe.

DNA Concerti

Lungotevere Flaminio 38

Rome, 00196 Italy

MAIN: +39-06-895-60116

Profile: I started as a local promoter in Rome, where I live, eventually founding DNA concerti with the aim of promoting concerts nationwide.

Since DNA Concerti was established in 1999, we have had the privilege of working with more than 700 acts, such as The White Stripes, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Morrissey, Sonic Youth, Kraftwerk, Blur, Björk, Nina Simone, The Sex Pistols, Pixies and many more.

While in our early years, our focus was promoting international talent in Italy. We have since expanded our operations, as bookers for Italian acts and our roster of domestic artists now includes over 20 artists.

We also operate in the electronic / dance  (EDM) area through our dedicated branch 3D (Dna Dance Department). DNA has produced or booked several Italian events over the years and now produces two festivals of its own: Siren and Astro.

OBJECTIVES AT CMW – WHAT I AM HOPING TO ACHIEVE WHILE AT CMW:  We aim to bring a different and more international way to promoting and experiencing live music, while fully aware of Italy’s uniqueness as a market.

I look forward to meeting colleagues from all over the world and refresh my view on what we do; I also hope to find some exciting new talent as DNA Concerti has consistently promoted Canadian artists in Italy.

Also it will be interesting to attend discussions between Italian and international operators on the so often misunderstood Italian reality.
