Department Mineral, Rock, & Book Sale is TODAY & TOMORROW: We will hold our annual geo-sale on Friday, March 18 (1 to 5 pm), and Saturday, March 19 (10 am to 2 pm), in SL 328 & 320. This will be a huge clearing out of minerals, rocks, fossils, and geoscience books as we make our final preparations for the upcoming move to the new Tracy Hall Science Center. Items will not be individually priced. Instead we are asking for a $10 donation ($5 for K-12 teachers and WSU students) to our student organizations (Geology Club & SGE) that will allow one to "take whatever you can use."
Guest Lecture TODAY: Dr. Jayne Belnap, United States Geological Survey, will present "Can beauty really be only skin deep? The role of biocrusts in dryland ecosystems," at 2pm Friday, March 18th in SL328. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Free Walk-in Geoscience Tutoring: The College of Science Learning & Testing Center is located on the 2nd floor of the Science Lab Building (SL 229). Students can walk in and receive free tutoring for their Geoscience, Chemistry, Microbiology, Physics and/or Zoology classes. The schedule for the Geosciences tutor, Jason Whittier, is attached.
