This week the Saranac Honor Society is recognizing individuals that uphold the pillars that are valued in our Society.

   Thursday ~ Yesterday was the last day of Honor Society week.  Pizza was served for lunch for the members that will be inducted to the Honor Society on Tuesday at 7pm in the high school library.  These people uphold all the characteristics that we have honored this week, Scholarship, Leadership and Service.  In addition to these, the students also have great moral character. The inductees are: Trenton Hopkins, Kiarra Lambert, Abigail Price, Grayson Rasmus, Caroline Voorheis, Zachariah Yonker, Congratulations!

Students in grades 9 -11 student council applications and petitions are due this TODAY at 11am.

There is a Boating Safety Class on June 8th from 9 to 3 at the Campbell Township Hall in Clarksville.  The class is open to anyone 12 years of age and older who will be operating a powerboat.

Do you want an exciting night of music, art, drama and robots?? Come to Fine Arts night on Friday, April 26th at 7pm.  If you don’t like music or arts, come anyway and bring some friends because admission is free!

   Wednesday ~ Today the Honor Society is awarding the pillar of service.  We have chosen those individuals that serve our community like the Boy Scouts and the Youth Advisory Council.  These high school students will be receiving a treat right before lunch.  Thanks for all you do.

Students in grades 9 -11 would like to run for student council should pick up an application from Mrs. Smith. Applications and petitions are due this Friday at 11am.

Prom tickets are on sale during lunch. Cost is $30 per ticket. This price does include a prom picture package. Prom is scheduled for May 4th at the downtown Grand Rapids University Club.

We are looking for students who would like to earn some extra cash & umpire youth softball and baseball games.  You don’t have to be on the baseball and softball teams you just have to know the sport. Please stop by the office if you are interested.

8th Graders ~ Those running for Freshmen student council, please get your applications into Mr. Manion ASAP.

Juniors & Seniors ~ There are openings for next year’s Heartland’s classes in both AM & PM. They are Aviation, computer programming, construction, diesel, healthcare foundations, plant & animal science.  See Mr. Terpstra to sign up.

Students ~ We do not have a lost & found any longer. So please keep track of your belongings. Every week things will be donated. Unfortunately, we do not have the storage space for these items.

Students ~ Please check the student fee list & let’s get your fees taken care of!  Seniors ~ You MUST take care of yours. 8 - 11 let’s get them taken care of before the end of the year!

        Monday - Today the Honor Society is awarding and are giving a treat right before lunch to the student Government. Thanks for making our school a better place.

HS track team - Did you bring your track uniform?  If Mother Nature likes us, we will have pics.
