CLARIDGE’S HOTEL,
BROOK STREET. W. 1.
Aug. 15th 1924
Dear Mr. de Laszlo,
Thanking you ever so much for your kind letter, I wish to tell you that last night I received an answer from my wife[1] saying she would prefer meeting you in Paris the 17th of September.[2] She was very pleased to hear of your aimiable [sic] arrangement and was very much looking forward to meet [sic] you. She can unfortunately only be in London on the 23rd of this month.
[Page 2]
I had rung you up last night and this morning, but both times you were out, so I hasten to send you these few lines. I returned last night from a stay at Sandringham.
I do hope you will not mind me having taken such a time over answering. – I must still tell you how very pleased I was meeting you the other day, nearly like older times!
Thanking you again ever so much for your kindness, I hope it will be au revoir untill soon again.
In haste Your’s [sic] very truly
