Getting to the Venue (Round Chapel Hackney)

  • 10 minute walk from Hackney Central, 12 minutes from Hackney Downs and 15 minutes from Homerton
  • The 38 bus - a “kneeling”  Routemaster - stops next to Round Chapel and comes from Victoria, via Angel, Oxford St and Green Park

 

There is no parking available on the day at the venue

Support

  •  The AccessTeam Volunteers will be available to help and support on the day. There will be an access volunteer at each entrance and they can accompany people into the building and explain the layout.
  • The access team volunteers will be available throughout the day to provide support as needed.

Layout

  • There is step free access throughout except to the sponsors lounge There is a lift to the second floor
  • The community village is designed to allow access to powered and unpowered wheelchairs
  • Both the main stage and I am proud stage have access ramps
  • One entrance to the building will be a dedicated accessible entrance, and will be clearly sign posted

Toilets

  • All toilets are gender neutral
  • All toilets will have sanitary products for use as needed on the day
  • There will be an accessible portaloo with handles
  • There will be a mobiloo, with attendant, but your own sling must be provided https://www.mobiloo.org.uk/what-is-a-mobiloo/

Changing Facilities

  • There will be a changing room for trans and gender diverse people to use, with a sink and mirror

Sensory Space/chill out space

  • There will be a sensory space for neurodivergent people and others who need a quieter area/break from the event. Children must be accompanied in the space at all times

Lighting

  • No fluorescent lighting
  • There may be strobe and flashing lights, warnings will be given

Breastfeeding

Breast/chest feeding is welcome throughout the venue. If you wish for somewhere quieter to breast/chest feed please ask one of the Access team

BSL interpreters

Each stage will have a BSL interpreter throughout the day, and there will be 3 roving interpreters.

Service Animals

  • Guide dogs are welcome throughout the venue.

Scents

As this is a public event we cannot guarantee it will be scent free

Alcohol

Alcohol will be served, non alcoholic options will be available

Searches

Bag searches will be taking place before people can enter the building.
