COURSE OBJECTIVES:

        1.  Develop a working knowledge of Computer technology, terminology and                                     technique as it applies to theater, dance and opera productions.

        2.  Students can use Open Office, Inkscape, The Gimp,  and Sketchup.

        3.  Develop an awareness of how Digital Media is used as a design element in the                         performing arts.

COURSE MATERIALS:

        1. Three ring Binder

        2. Pencils  2H  (not mechanical)

        3.  Eraser

        4.  You MUST know your school's email address.  

Course Outline:

Week One:  Intro To Design Concepts

Week Two:  Perspective Drawing  Your Name + City Street

Week Three:        Intro to the Macintosh file structure

                        Presenter.. design concept presention

                        +  Open Office  Concept  

Week Four:  Weebly   Web Design Basics

Week Five and Six:  Inkscape   logo  Your name  &  book cover?  Show of choice

Week Seven and Eight:  Gimp   Poster   show your choice

Week Nine and Ten:  Sketchup   Set Design  Show your choice
