The past few months of this semester we have been working on a unit that covers math problems through fun activities. Our unit was called the cookie unit. We had to find the maximum amount of supplies and time the Woo family could use in their bakery by using constraints and graphing with feasible regions. I thought the cookie unit was very fun and a challenge for me. I had fun graphing, coloring, and using constraints. Sometimes it got hard because the problems were hard to understand or I just got confused.

We learned many things and my favorite would be feasible regions and graphing. A feasible region is a solution to a space that has found all possible points. I feel like this concept of graphing and coloring was easy for me, but the constraints were hard which gave me a challenge. The question we received from the Woo family was, how many of each kind of cookie (plain and iced) should we make and what will be the highest profit? I found this by using the constraints, graphs, and feasible regions. I found the maximum profit and maximum supplies and time used. We found this by taking your limitations and made graphs with many, many, equations.

Personally I have grown a lot in this semester I’ve never been a big fan of math because of how I’ve been taught. Being a visual learner you need to learn visually and Lauren gave me that opportunity. We organized all of the cookies papers and that has helped me become more organized because I’ve realized its easier and less confusing for me and everyone else. I’ve learned more then I have in the past just by using these types of math concepts which makes me very happy. I enjoy math a lot more than I used too and I hope in the future I can apply my learning experience here to other, future math classes.
