Or will a group of determined women from all walks of American life , banded together by circumstance, united by a love a country and theater , save the season ? Into the Breeches is a Heartwarming, character driven comedy / drama about a group of determined people on the home front of the largest conflict the world has ever seen . Ida - African American 30’s - has worked behind the scenes at the theater for years and is an incredible costume designer . Needs an actor white both dramatic chops and comedic timing June - white / hisp female - late teens , 20s . Ingenue . A new bride . Just married her high school sweetheart before he shipped off to war . Grace - white / hisp female late 20’s 30s a raw talent new to the theater , husband is at war while she stays in Riverside with her young son .
