(In soil) What does the seed turns into once it begins to grow? (Seedling) Why do you think this plant is called a seedling? How doe the plant changes when is fully grown? In addition to leaves, what else appears on the vine? If you cut open If you cut open this ripe pumpkin, what do you think you would find inside? (Seeds)
- Help the children understand that plants follow a cycle of development.
- Read “Jack and the Beanstalk.”
- Discuss story elements.
- Distribute soil, small containers, and seeds.
- Help the children plant seeds.
