Muy señor mio:

Remito á V, el adjunto cheque de £ 3,400 en pago de los retratos que ha hecho de Su Majestad la Reina y de sus Augustos Hijos. En esa suma estar comprendidos tambien los honorarios que le corresponden por el retrato del Excmo Sr General Primo de Rivera, Marqués de Estelle.

Ruegole me avise el recibo del cheque y quedo suyo stento seguro servidor [q?]. l. e. l. m.

Dear Sir,

I send you herewith cheque for £3,400 in payment of the portraits which you have made of Her Majesty the Queen [possibly [11168] and [12400]] and their Royal Highnesses, her sons.[1] In this sum is also included the honorarium due to you for the portrait of His Excellency, General Primo de Rivera, Marquis of Estella.

I shall be obliged if you will kindly acknowledge receipt of the cheque, and bed to remain,

Miguel González de Castejón y Elío, I conde de Aybar (1862-1939), Controller of the Royal Household and Privy Purse under King Alfonso XIII of Spain, whom he followed into exile.
